Build and Manage Connected Apps in One Place
Google, Wednesday, October 28th, 2026
Google previewed a Connected Apps Platform for building apps once and reaching users in both Search and the Gemini app.
Developers integrate with a cloud-hosted MCP server or Android MCP using AppFunctions APIs, then register, test and submit apps in the Google Connected Console.
They choose whether the app goes live in Search, the Gemini app or both, and can track traffic, latency and error rates while keeping control of brand identity such as verified logos.
Access opens in phases with more developers, markets and products over the coming months.
Google also rolled out new Connected Apps partners including Adobe, Calm and Peloton.
