The Hidden ROI in Your PC Lifecycle

Dell, Wednesday, October 28th, 2026

Dell cites Dell-sponsored IDC research finding unified PC lifecycle management saves about $553 per PC a year and cuts operating costs 44%.

Chris Quirk, Dell's SVP of Global Professional Services, argues that managing PCs across separate vendors and teams hides costs and creates security risk from lost or unreturned devices.

He cites an IDC Business Value Snapshot sponsored by Dell, which found that organizations using Lifecycle Hub Suite or similar services save about $553 per PC a year, cut PC operating costs by 44%, and deliver new PCs 42% faster.

Dell says its customers reach device return rates of up to 90%, against an industry average of about 43%, and models about $1.9 million in three-year savings for a 10,000-device fleet.

The suite covers deployment through retirement for Dell and third-party PCs.
