Everyone Claims AI Governance Now. 15 Questions to Test the Claim

DataRobot, Friday, October 30th, 2026

DataRobot lists 15 questions to test vendor AI governance claims, warning about missing agent registries and lifecycle controls.

This vendor post says many vendors now claim AI governance but offer different capabilities, such as restricting access, pre-launch testing or audit records.

It describes two gaps: a missing foundation, meaning no complete view of which agents exist and what they can access, so unregistered agents go ungoverned; and a missing lifecycle, since approved agents change when tools, models or permissions change.

The foundation starts with a live registry of each agent's model, tools, accounts and data reach.

It frames the 15 questions as a way for CIOs and risk leaders to check that controls cover their agents and keep working as things change.
