CoreWeave Builds the First Global Backbone Network Purpose-Built for AI
CoreWeave, Wednesday, October 28th, 2026
CoreWeave is extending its AI-focused global network backbone to the Middle East and Asia Pacific from Q4 2026.
CoreWeave's network connects 51 active data centers in North America and Europe, with over 1.5 GW of active power and about 4.2 GW contracted.
It announced a 22.5 MW renewable-powered data center in Copenhagen.
From Q4 2026, new points of presence come online in the UAE, India, Indonesia, Singapore, Australia, South Korea and Japan, linked by terrestrial and subsea fiber, and India expansion includes 240 MW in Navi Mumbai.
The company says it is building a Petabit-scale backbone designed for AI's long-lived elephant flows from training and inference, unlike general-purpose cloud networks built for many small flows.
