AWS Step Functions Workflows Now Available as AI Agent Tools

AWS Step Functions Standard and Express workflows can now be used as AI agent tools through Amazon Bedrock AgentCore Gateway.
Step Functions workflows can now be exposed as tools to AI agents through Amazon Bedrock AgentCore Gateway, which connects agents to tools via the Model Context Protocol.
The agent decides when to run a workflow and what input to pass, and Step Functions executes each step as defined, so multi-step business processes run in the same order each time.
Both Standard and Express workflows work, and a tutorial is in the Step Functions Developer Guide.
Customers pay standard Step Functions and AgentCore Gateway rates.
