Fortinet announces the FortiGuard Inline AI Security Service, bringing FortiAIGate guardrails to FortiGate customers via the cloud.
Fortinet announced the FortiGuard Inline AI Security Service, a cloud-delivered service that gives FortiGate customers AI-specific inspection and guardrails without deploying separate AI security infrastructure.
Powered by FortiAIGate, it inspects prompts and data in real time and enforces security, compliance and data protection policies across interactions with agents, LLMs and MCP tools.
The service goes beyond shadow AI discovery and DLP to inspect AI interaction content and mask sensitive data.
Capabilities draw on technology from Fortinet's acquisition of Virtue AI, and customers with stricter sovereignty needs can deploy FortiAIGate in their own environment.
