How Project Jupiter's Self-Supplied Power Plan Can Benefit New Mexico Utility Customers

Oracle says Project Jupiter's private microgrid plan means New Mexico utility customers won't fund new grid infrastructure.
Oracle explains that the updated energy plan for its Project Jupiter data center campus in New Mexico uses a private microgrid.
The plan is designed to substantially cut nitrogen oxide emissions and use a negligible amount of water.
Oracle says utility customers will not have to fund new generation, transmission or distribution infrastructure for the project.
New Mexico's 2025 Advanced Grid Technology Act allows such microgrids to serve large loads separately from the public grid.
