Recovered, but Not Really: Closing the Azure Manageability Gap for Azure Local

Rubrik maps Azure Local VMs to their Azure identity so restored VMs remain manageable in the Azure Portal.
Rubrik explains that restoring an Azure Local VM after deletion often returns a plain Hyper-V VM that the Azure Portal cannot manage.
By onboarding the Azure subscription for Azure Local, Rubrik maps each protected VM to its Azure identity, not just its physical cluster, and uses Azure Local's ARM APIs so alternate-location recovery lands the VM in the right resource group and logical network.
The result is a true Azure Local VM, reducing post-recovery reconciliation work.
