BigQuery's generative AI functions, such as AI.GENERATE, AI.IF, AI.CLASSIFY and AI.SCORE, bring LLMs into SQL but are billed by the token, and Google has announced general availability of token-based cost management for them.
Four daily quotas, managed through the Google Cloud IAM quota system, let administrators set self-serve guardrails on token consumption.
