Dangerous Deviation Detection: Catching the Agent Action Nobody Asked For

Check Point, Thursday, October 15th, 2026

Check Point describes detecting AI agent actions that deviate from user intent, beyond permissions and prompt screening.

Check Point notes 78% of organizations reported a confirmed or suspected AI-related security incident in the past year, per its 2026 Cloud Security Report.

Because agents plan their own steps, a helpful agent can take an unrequested action that deletes data, leaks it or widens access without any attacker, and least privilege and prompt attack detection miss the action itself.

Check Point presents Dangerous Deviation Detection to catch agent actions that deviate from what the user asked.
