A Forescout study of 2.5M healthcare devices finds most OT and medical devices can't support post-quantum cryptography.
Forescout researchers analyzed about 2.5 million devices across more than 50 healthcare delivery organizations to measure readiness for post-quantum cryptography.
Only half of IT devices ran SSH implementations capable of supporting PQC, compared with 16% of OT devices and just 6% of Internet of Medical Things devices, and only 31% of more than 5,500 internet-exposed medical record or imaging systems used TLS 1.3.
That leaves long-lived patient data exposed to harvest-now, decrypt-later attacks.
