At the FutureCIO Conference in Singapore, Standard Chartered's global head of group transformation Brian O'Neill described transformation as an ongoing operating model rather than an initiative.
He named four essentials: investing in the right areas, ensuring investments deliver value, monitoring organizational performance and knowing where to intervene.
Because siloed data leaves large organizations without visibility, he argues business architecture is a useful blueprint only when linked to performance data showing how the organization actually works.
