Few firms run AI on one shared platform; FICO's analytics chief says CIOs should push an AI standard to curb sprawl and costs.
Only a small share of organizations deploy AI on a single shared platform, and sprawl is eroding returns through shadow projects, idle resources and hyperscaler token spend with no business value.
FICO chief analytics officer Scott Zoldi says the first step is an enterprise AI standard defining algorithms, explainability, monitoring and regulatory compliance, which a unified platform then puts into practice.
CIOs are urged to align leadership around the standard, be frugal with technology purchases and frame coordination and efficient infrastructure in terms of business value.
