Closing the Endpoint Zero Trust Gap
Zscaler, Thursday, October 8th, 2026
Zscaler explains why it built AI Endpoint Security to apply zero trust to AI apps and agents on user devices.
Zscaler explains the rationale for Zscaler AI Endpoint Security, introduced at Zenith Live, which extends its AI protection to applications and agents running on endpoints.
The company describes AI asset sprawl, with frontier AI apps, plugins, MCP servers, AI-powered IDEs, local models, package dependencies and AI browsers installing outside normal software lifecycles.
Because agents act under the user's identity and permissions, audit trails can no longer assume the user took an action, a problem Zscaler says EDR, DLP and MDM were not designed to solve.
