Scaling Sandboxed Agentic AI on Xeon CPUs

Intel, Thursday, October 8th, 2026

Intel benchmarks show Xeon 6990E+ sustaining about 27% more concurrent agent sandbox provisioning than AMD EPYC 9965.

Intel published benchmark results, as of September 2026, measuring agentic AI sandbox creation latency with the Tencent CubeSandbox framework against a 200-millisecond service-level target.

The Xeon 6990E+ stayed under the target up to about 313 concurrent provisioning requests, roughly 27% more than the AMD EPYC 9965 at around 246, while the Xeon 6980P achieved about 12% higher concurrency than the AMD part.

Intel argues that fast sandbox provisioning directly affects agent execution speed and scalability for large deployments that need both isolation and responsiveness.
