Check Point Research's September 2026 report finds organizations faced an average of 2,803 cyber attacks per week, up 16% month over month and 48% year over year.
Education remained the most targeted sector at 6,656 weekly attacks per organization, Europe saw the sharpest regional rise at 61%, and Latin America faced the highest volume.
One in 39 enterprise GenAI prompts posed a high risk of sensitive data leakage, affecting 89% of organizations using GenAI tools, while one in 91 emails was phishing and 824 ransomware attacks were reported, 53% more than a year earlier.
