Atlassian is scaling forward deployed engineers inside customer teams, from 46 today toward 100, to speed enterprise AI adoption.
Atlassian is embedding AI engineers called Forward Deployed Engineers directly in customer teams, growing from 46 today to about 100 by the third quarter across the US, EMEA and India.
The FDEs have already worked with more than 100 enterprise customers and put more than 80 AI agents into production.
An interview with Paavany Jayanty, who leads AI Forward Deployed Engineering in the US, traces the role from Palantir to its revival at OpenAI, Anthropic and Databricks and explains why it suits Atlassian's platform.
