Technology Isn't Yet Solving HR's Workflow Problems

Despite AI adoption, 51% of HR pros still spend half their week on repetitive admin, an Eagle Hill survey finds.
HR Dive reports on an Eagle Hill Consulting survey of 200 U.S. HR professionals conducted by Ipsos, in which 86% say AI and automation improve results, yet 51% still spend at least half their week on repetitive administrative work and more than three-quarters re-enter the same data in multiple systems.
Some 91% need two or more systems to finish a single task, 68% rely on spreadsheet and manual workarounds, and many cite integration problems and unclear AI outputs.
CEO Melissa Jezior says the issue is work design: technology layered onto disconnected processes cannot fix broken workflows.
