IBM Introduces Self-Hosted Deployment for IBM Bob

AIwire (HPCwire), Thursday, October 1st, 2026

IBM Bob can now run self-hosted on premises, in private or sovereign clouds, and in air-gapped environments.

IBM announced self-hosted deployment for IBM Bob, its agentic software development platform for software delivery and modernization, letting organizations run Bob in on-premises, private-cloud, sovereign-cloud and air-gapped environments they control, with flexibility over where model inference runs.

They can host supported models on premises or connect to external model services in hybrid setups, and with a self-hosted model configuration, code, development context and build artifacts stay within the customer environment.

IBM's Neel Sundaresan says enterprise AI's future depends on security, governance and sovereignty.
