CIO.com reports on Indeed Hiring Lab research showing IT remains the epicenter of AI's impact on jobs and pay, with pay for the most AI-exposed occupations up 46% since 2021 versus 25% for the least-exposed, a gap that widened from 2024 as hiring rebounded.
Indeed economist Jack Kennedy calculates a post-ChatGPT pay premium of 5.7%, or about 4.7% when comparing the same job titles.
The gains have accrued mostly to senior roles, while entry-level workers see less benefit.
