AI Proves Value, but Only 13% of Organizations Scale It
Futurum, Friday, October 2nd, 2026
Futurum reviews a BearingPoint study finding most AI adopters see impact but only 13% scale AI as their business case planned.
Futurum analyzes BearingPoint's survey of 1,050 C-suite executives across 13 countries, which found nearly three-quarters of organizations that have implemented AI report measurable impact and about four in ten see both revenue growth and cost reduction.
However, only 13% have scaled AI fully in line with their original business case, while most have reduced scope or reached less scale than planned, and BearingPoint groups organizations into Explorers, Experimenters, Implementers and Leaders.
Futurum agrees with BearingPoint that the scaling gap reflects a lack of management discipline more than technology limits.
