Snowflake announced that Anthropic's Claude Sonnet 5.5 is coming to Snowflake Cortex AI in public preview through Cortex Inference, keeping data within Snowflake's security and governance perimeter.
Support in Snowflake CoWork, Snowflake CoCo, Cortex Agents and Cortex AI Functions is coming soon.
Snowflake cites Anthropic's reported 70.6% on Terminal-Bench 4.0, up from 10.3% for Sonnet 5, and near-parity with Opus 5.5 on the GDPval-AA real-world work benchmark.
