SQL Server on Azure Local Is Now Generally Available

SQL Server on Azure Local is GA for connected and disconnected operations, targeting sovereign and remote environments.
Microsoft made SQL Server on Azure Local generally available for both connected and disconnected operations.
The release targets environments where cloud connectivity cannot be assumed, such as remote industrial sites, and regulated organizations that must keep data within sovereign boundaries.
Customers can modernize where their data resides while keeping control over infrastructure and data placement, bring AI closer to data with Foundry Local on Azure Local (in preview), and use eligible existing SQL Server licenses.
