F5 introduces BIG-IP Virtual Edition on Equinix Network Edge to apply consistent policies to traditional and AI apps.
Citing its 2026 State of Application Strategy Report finding that 86% of enterprises run apps across on-premises, public cloud and colocation, F5 says fragmented ADC configurations create policy gaps that AI makes worse.
It identifies three challenges: operational complexity, AI-specific delivery demands and security gaps around internal APIs and model endpoints.
