Guided Vision in Gemini Live: Built for Accessibility

Google, Thursday, October 1st, 2026

Google launches Guided Vision in Gemini Live on Android, giving blind and low-vision users real-time conversational visual assistance.

Google is rolling out Guided Vision in Gemini Live across compatible Android devices, offering voice-forward, real-time interpretation of a user's camera view.

The feature targets people who are blind or have low vision, providing dynamic audio descriptions and verbal reframing cues.

It was developed with the accessibility community, including tens of thousands of hours of visual interpretation data from Aira, and more than 1,000 Aira trusted testers helped refine the model and its safety guardrails.
