EssilorLuxottica is piloting SAP Joule-powered smart glasses to give retail staff hands-free access to store data.
EssilorLuxottica, owner of Ray-Ban, Oakley and other eyewear brands, is co-innovating with SAP to pilot AI use cases built on Joule for its smart glasses.
The company runs its 15,000-store retail network on SAP S/4HANA Retail and wants voice interaction to give store associates hands-free access to inventory, availability and customer insights.
It is initially exploring two use cases: guiding field technicians through complex tasks and giving retail associates real-time access to customer profiles, order history and inventory data. The goal is to turn a spoken request into an immediate backend system action.
