Palo Alto Networks' Unit 42 launched an always-on AI-driven service using Anthropic and OpenAI models to find and fix vulnerabilities faster.
Palo Alto Networks' Unit 42 launched Continuous Frontier AI Defense, an always-on agentic service combining offensive security experts with proprietary multi-model harnesses to discover vulnerabilities, validate real-world exploitability, and accelerate remediation across applications, identities, cloud and network assets.
It is powered by Anthropic's Mythos models and OpenAI's latest GPT cyber models, using gated capability models restricted from public use. Unit 42 cited attacks using more than 50 MITRE ATT&CK techniques compressed into under 10 hours, exfiltration occurring in under an hour, and newly disclosed CVEs being weaponized within 15 minutes as evidence that defense must now operate at machine speed.
