Microsoft made GPT-6 Sol and Luna generally available in Foundry alongside GPT-6 Astra, rounding out a lineup for different agent workload needs.
Microsoft expanded its GPT-6 series in Microsoft Foundry with the general availability of GPT-6 Sol and GPT-6 Luna, joining GPT-6 Astra.
Astra targets demanding work requiring advanced reasoning, software engineering, and computer use, with Azure customers reporting strong cost-to-performance from using fewer, higher-value tokens.
GPT-6 Sol offers general-purpose, cost-effective intelligence for enterprise agents, coding, and multi-step reasoning workflows, while Luna is aimed at efficient, high-volume data and preparatory work.
Microsoft recommends starting with Astra for complex, judgment-heavy work and Sol or Luna for higher-volume workloads.
