AI-Generated Phishing Pages Are Impersonating Antivirus Services

Malwarebytes found AI-generated phishing pages impersonating Avast renewal notices to trick victims into calling fake support and installing malware.
Malwarebytes identified a fake Avast subscription-renewal phishing page targeting users in Belgium that researchers say shows clear signs of being AI-generated, including a polished layout with a fabricated charge summary, status badge, and payment details.
The page has no connection to the real Avast and is designed to collect personal information and a phone number as the first step of the scam.
Victims who submit their details are then called by someone posing as support staff, who tries to trick them into installing malware or handing over financial information. Malwarebytes advises checking subscriptions only through the official app or website.
