IBM Expands Its Digital Banking Infrastructure With Swift Integration and Digital Asset Haven On-Premises

IBM, Thursday, September 24th, 2026

IBM added Swift blockchain ledger integration and on-premises deployment to its Digital Asset Haven platform for banks.

IBM unveiled two beta capabilities for its Digital Asset Haven platform aimed at financial institutions.

Clients can now connect to Swift's blockchain-based shared ledger to process tokenized deposit transactions using ISO 20022 messaging, with 17 institutions already piloting the feature across Swift's network of 12,500-plus institutions.

IBM is also extending Digital Asset Haven on-premises, letting organizations run digital asset management entirely in their own data centers on IBM Z and LinuxONE hardware with Crypto Express HSM-backed security.

IBM says the on-premises option targets 99.999999% availability while keeping consistent architecture and APIs across SaaS, hybrid, and on-premises deployments.
