Google made Gemini 3.8 Live with Live Avatar generally available in Gemini Enterprise, adding lip-synced video avatars to voice AI agents.
Google Cloud announced general availability of Gemini 3.8 Live with Live Avatar in Gemini Enterprise, following last week's launch of Gemini 3.8 Live and Extended Thinking.
The Live Avatar feature adds an interactive video presence with synchronized lip-syncing to conversational agents on web, mobile, and kiosks, built on a native speech-to-speech foundation for more natural interruption handling.
Agents can call tools and APIs in the background while continuing a conversation, and the model understands and speaks 97 languages with automatic detection. It can also process live camera feeds and screen shares. A custom-avatar option is currently allowlist-only.
