A Cisco and Omdia study finds most network operations teams are already running agentic AI in production.
A Cisco and Omdia study of 1,000 IT and network operations leaders found 75% of organizations have already deployed AI for network operations, more than half are running agentic AI systems that act in production, and 84% expect an AI-led operating model within 12 months.
The average organization generates about 4,100 monitoring alerts per day, roughly half tied to the network, while a typical practitioner can clear only about 21 alerts a day - meaning manually clearing the daily backlog would require roughly 100 IT specialists.
Cisco frames the question as not whether autonomous AI belongs in network operations, but what must be in place to safely expand it.
