Intel Compute Stack Enables LEO for Nova Lake, Introduces Intel Portable ISA PISA

Phoronix reports Intel's Compute Runtime 26.35 enables LEO for Nova Lake and debuts a new Intel Portable ISA.
Intel released Compute Runtime 26.35.39758.10 for Windows and Linux, its monthly OpenCL and Level Zero GPU compute driver update.
The release enables the LEO code path for upcoming Nova Lake client processors, giving developers a working compute stack ahead of hardware availability.
It also introduces Intel Portable ISA, or PISA, a new intermediate representation intended to decouple compiled GPU kernels from specific Intel graphics generations.
Phoronix highlights PISA as the more consequential change, since a portable ISA would ease the long-standing burden of recompiling compute kernels for each new Intel GPU architecture.
