Zorin OS's Windows App Support lets users install and run many Windows apps on Linux without manually configuring Wine.
The author, a longtime Linux holdout, tested Zorin OS's Windows App Support, which handles the Wine compatibility layer when you double-click a Windows .exe or .msi and first suggests native Linux alternatives. IrfanView, SumatraPDF and WinSCP installed and worked normally
NoteTab Light displayed garbled text until Microsoft core fonts were installed and the font setting changed. Compatibility is still not guaranteed and some apps will not run, but the experience made Linux feel viable as an everyday desktop.
