Couchbase Analytics + Apache Iceberg on Google Cloud: Query Your Lakehouse Without ETL

Couchbase, Monday, September 7th, 2026

Couchbase Analytics adds Apache Iceberg support to query lakehouse tables on Google Cloud without ETL or data copies.

Couchbase announced Apache Iceberg support in Couchbase Analytics, letting teams query Iceberg tables in object storage through read-only linked collections with no data movement or duplication.

Google's Lakehouse runtime catalog is the flagship integration, with support for AWS Glue, S3 Tables, Nessie and the Iceberg REST Catalog. Snapshot-based time travel enables point-in-time and audit queries, and SQL++ joins Iceberg data with live operational data.

A three-step setup of link, catalog and external collection replaces ETL pipelines, which the post frames as key for RAG and agent workloads needing historical context.
