OutSystems announced integration with CESMII's i3X 1.0 API standard, positioning its platform as a manufacturing orchestration layer.
The company cites research that 61 percent of manufacturers struggle to move beyond isolated pilot projects because of fragmented legacy systems and data silos.
The integration is intended to break down barriers between IT and operational technology systems so manufacturers can deploy agentic AI, modernize legacy applications and connect frontline workers while retaining governed autonomy and safety controls. OutSystems claims organizations can deliver production-ready digital capabilities roughly ten times faster than with traditional development.
