Expanding Genie Agents: Deep Analysis, File Reasoning, and More

Genie Agents gain an Agent mode with API access, reasoning over unstructured files, and Genie Code for curation.
Databricks expanded Genie Agents, the expert-curated agents that answer questions on high-priority data domains. A new Agent mode enables deeper multi-step analysis of complex business questions and is now reachable via APIs, so the agents can be embedded in custom applications and external tools.
The agents can also combine structured data with unstructured content such as documents and PDFs stored in Unity Catalog volumes.
Genie Code rounds out the release, letting teams configure instructions, diagnose performance and manage agent quality more systematically.
