CrowdStrike Extends Endpoint Security to Stop Software Supply Chain Attacks

CrowdStrike adds Real-Time Supply Chain Attack Protection to the Falcon sensor to block malicious packages at download.
CrowdStrike is extending Falcon endpoint protection into the software supply chain with a new Real-Time Supply Chain Attack Protection capability.
The feature is embedded directly in the Falcon sensor rather than delivered as a separate scanner, so malicious open-source packages are blocked at the moment they are downloaded onto a developer or build machine.
That shifts defense from post-hoc dependency scanning to inline enforcement on the endpoint itself. CrowdStrike positions this as a response to the sharp rise in poisoned package and dependency-confusion attacks targeting developer environments.
