Akamai adds Unified Asset Inventory and a CISO Dashboard to its Application Protection Platform for app and API coverage gaps.
Application estates change constantly, and new APIs and hostnames often appear before security teams know they exist. Akamai addresses that gap in its Application Protection Platform with two capabilities: Unified Asset Inventory and a CISO Dashboard, framed around a continuous cycle of discover, assess, prioritize, protect, investigate and optimize.
Unified Asset Inventory consolidates hostnames and APIs, covering both formally configured assets and those observed in production traffic, and shows which are actually protected alongside security context.
The CISO Dashboard rolls this up into account-wide posture, protection gaps, attack activity and mitigation effectiveness so leaders can judge whether the program is improving.
