Lara Ewen reports on a survey finding 91% of HR leaders actively use AI in recruitment, and while 85% trust it for fair candidate assessment, 80% report actively managing at least one issue with their tools, and 26% worry about missing qualified applicants due to automated screening.
Applications tripled between 2021 and 2024, and 71% believe over half of applications now use generative AI.
Common concerns include bias (16%) and compliance risk (16%), and fewer than 5% of companies achieved 'transformational' outcomes from AI hiring tools.
