Modernizing Database Workloads on Red Hat OpenShift

Red Hat, Wednesday, August 26th, 2026

Red Hat sets out options for running SQL, NoSQL, vector and in-memory database workloads on OpenShift.

As organizations modernize their workloads, one of the most important questions is how to support the full range of database types, including SQL, NoSQL, vector and in-memory databases.

Red Hat argues that modernizing database infrastructure requires a strategy weighing individual vendor guidance against the value of a consistent enterprise platform capable of supporting both current and future application architectures.

The post lays out the options for running database workloads across hybrid cloud environments, with OpenShift providing a unified application platform for the entire estate rather than a separate stack per database technology.
