OpenAI will wind down its contract supplying models to Cursor after SpaceX's acquisition, with a proposed November 12 shutoff.
OpenAI has notified SpaceX that it intends to wind down the contract providing OpenAI models to Cursor, following SpaceX's acquisition of the company.
The proposed shutoff date is November 12, 2026. OpenAI says it is giving the maximum notice its contract permits in order to maximize the time developers retain access to OpenAI models through Cursor.
