Six in 10 Leaders Bet Big on Robots. Only Four in 10 Are Ready.
Intel, Thursday, August 20th, 2026
Intel research finds 6 in 10 leaders expect robot fleets within five years, but far fewer say they are ready to manage them.
Intel published research finding that six in 10 senior business and IT leaders, robotics specialists, and government and healthcare officials expect their organizations to operate robot fleets within five years. Respondents predict full-scale robotics deployment could double operational output.
Sixty-seven percent believe they will be ready to manage a mixed human-robot workforce by 2030, leaving a substantial minority who do not. Seventy-four percent believe workforce planning and robotics need to be considered together.
The findings frame a readiness gap between ambition and operational capability.
