Anthropic launches Claude Opus 5, delivering state-of-the-art coding and knowledge-work performance at Opus 4.8 pricing.
Anthropic introduced Claude Opus 5, its new flagship model that achieves state-of-the-art results on coding and knowledge-work benchmarks while keeping the same pricing as Opus 4.8.
The model shows particular strength in software engineering, scientific research, and visual generation. Anthropic says Opus 5 exhibits improved alignment with its constitutional guidelines and maintains safety restrictions comparable to prior versions.
It is available immediately across all platforms and the API.
