Inside the Data Collaboration That Helped Team USA Win Olympic Gold

Snowflake, Tuesday, July 14th, 2026

Snowflake details how CoWork-powered data analysis helped US bobsled athletes win gold by four hundredths of a second at Milano Cortina 2026.

Snowflake describes how data collaboration supported Team USA's bobsled program at the Milano Cortina 2026 Olympics. Gold medalist Elana Meyers Taylor won by four hundredths of a second, aided by data-driven insight into optimal push start technique and which track curves mattered most.

Analysis identified curves 1, 2, and 4 as decisive, letting athletes focus energy where it counted. Head Coach Chris Fogt notes that combining a coach's experience with data and Snowflake CoWork makes that expertise far more powerful, with the technology refining rather than replacing human judgment.

USABS plans to extend the approach to athlete recruiting and equipment optimization for future Olympic cycles.
