StorageNewsletter, April 27,2026
TrueNAS introduces the V160 hybrid storage appliance offering flexible performance, multi-protocol support, and high capacity.
TrueNAS has launched the V160, a mission-critical storage system designed for enterprise workloads that combines flash and HDD storage with flexibility to adjust the media mix as prices change.
Powered by dual AMD EPYC processors with PCIe 5.0 and up to 768GB of DDR5 memory, the V160 delivers up to 60GB/s throughput with 24TiB of adaptive cache and supports up to 20PiB of NVMe or 35PiB of HDD capacity.
The platform uniquely runs file, block, and S3-compatible object storage protocols on a single system with no capacity-based licensing, validated for virtualization, media workflows, and AI/ML environments. TrueNAS Enterprise 25.10 comes fully licensed with all features included, offering a predictable seven-year lifecycle with no vendor lock-in through its use of OpenZFS format.
