Empowering Veterans And IT Professionals: The Remarkable Journey Of TeamOne.Support

In a world where purpose and impact converge, two significant events unfolded, shaping the genesis of TeamOne.Support. In the past 20 years I have worn many hats. These hats have included factory and robotics automation developer, inventor of patented cybersecurity products, CIO, CTO, CISO but the most important hat I have ever worn is teacher, mentor, trainer for our US veterans looking for a sustainable career.
Firstly, our commitment to a noble cause was born when we collaborated with a non-profit veterans organization. Our mission was clear: empower U.S. veterans with valuable IT and Information Security skills. Guided by the poignant motto of GreyTeam.org, "Preventing Veteran Suicides," we set out to address the harrowing statistic of 40 veteran suicides daily, amounting to 13,000 tragic losses each year. Driven by a profound sense of responsibility, we knew we had to take action.
In October of 2022, our journey began as we embarked on research into IT Services management software under a consulting contract. Our client sought a solution that would enable proactive management of their remote Office365 environment, streamline helpdesk operations, and provide the means to maintain their remote user network with foresight.
The turning point came in November when we decided to merge these two projects. The veterans deserved real-world experience and opportunities for employment. Although GreyTeam generously provided the facilities for our educational endeavors, we faced the challenge of financing the necessary software and equipment. By December 2022, we conducted our first introductory class, and by March 2023, we proudly celebrated our first graduates.
Our veterans have since found placements in various IT departments, Managed Security Providers, and right here at TeamOne.Support. Recognizing that many veterans may find it challenging to commit to traditional 8-hour desk jobs, we designed a flexible program that allows them to answer calls, resolve issues, and prioritize their health and well-being.
Fast forward to September 2023, and TeamOne.Support has taken on a life of its own. We are expanding our service offerings to encompass a spectrum of services, ranging from basic 'break/fix' support to full 24/7 US-based remote assistance. Our services are hosted in SOC2/PCI/HIPAA certified data centers, ensuring the highest standards of security and reliability. While we cannot guarantee that every member of our team is a veteran, we proudly maintain a 100% U.S.-based presence.
